Badal, Makkar stripped off Panthic titles

makkar_BadalAmritsar: The Sarbat Khalsa – a congregation of several hardliner Sikh organisations, passed a resolution stripping Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal of the “Panth Rattan — Fakhr-e-qaum” title bestowed on him in 2011 and nullified the “Shiromani Sewak” title given to SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar.

Both Badal and Makkar are being painted as ‘villains’ of the Sikh community by the hardliner Sikhs for their role in the sacrilegious incidents of Guru Granth Sahib, and that of flip-flop on pardoning the controversial Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim for political purposes.
