Concerning you story Mirror Scanning your leader: Strengths and weaknesses of CM Badal, I want to put forth my point of view.

He is that type of person who will do anything (moral or immoral) to further his political ambitions. One example is enough to justify this.

His sub-caste is Dhillon jat. His daughter is married to the grandson of former CM Partap Singh Kairon. Partap Singh Kairon’s sub-caste is also Dhillon jat. In jat community the boy and girl are not married within the same sub-caste because both are considered as brother and sister.

Also Adesh Partap Singh Kairon’s father Surinder Singh Kairon and grandfather were staunch congressmen. What compulsion Parkash Singh Badal had to marry his daughter within the same sub-caste and also to a person belonging to a rival political party, only Parkash Badal can explain.

This reminds me of a Punjabi saying ” jat, jattan de saley te karde ghaley maley ” told by my late uncle.

I shall be glad if you can bring this information/fact to the notice Punjabi people especially jat community.
