Amritsar: Having enjoyed close intimacy for couple of years two young prominent Akali leaders – Bikram Singh Majithia and Inderbir Singh Bolaria, have now become poles apart – to the extent that they do not want to see each other eye-to-eye.
While, Bolaria is on warpath and consistently agitating against his own party government against the move to put up waste management plant in the Bhagtawala area in his constituency, Majithia’s close aides’ are trying to scuttle his (Bolaria’s) movement.
In one of the Bolaria-led rallies pro-Majithia slogans were raised. When asked about his reaction Bolaria said that some handpicked paid men were sent to scuttle his rally. But, who had sent these men? And who wants to scuttle his rallies?
Without naming Majithia, Bloaria said that why all these problems are arising in Amritsar particularly? Who is the genesis of all these problems? This, Bolaria wants, needs to be found out.
People all across Punjab, particularly in Majha region are baffled as why Bikram and Bolaria have parted ways? Until few months ago both these leaders were seen moving around together most of the time. During those friendly-journey Bolaria was often seen acting as driver for Majithia, with former driving the luxury car and later sitting on the adjacent front seat.
The relations between two leaders have turned sweet to sour after Bolaria replacing Majithia as Akali Dal youth wing leader. With Bikram, brother-in-law of Sukhbir Badal, discontinuing supporting Bolaria, the later has started facing all the problems despite his own party government in saddle.
However, Bolaria seems adamant to continue protest against the sewerage dump and treatment plant in his constituency. He has also urged the Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh to intervene and get the dump and plant shifting to far-away place from the city.
But, without Badals blessings and Mahithia’s support Bolaria seems to be fighting a loosing battle. The circumstances are taking the turn wherein Bolaria can be dumped from the Akali Dal and he is left with no option to join the Congress party. It needs mention here this his father Raminder Singh Bolaria was also basically a Congress leader, who had subsequently jointed SAD.
